Jeffs/Ringøen Duo

Steinar Jeffs and Gunnar Sjur Ringøen form a Norwegian duo that merges jazz, Americana, and folk into a distinctive musical experience. 

Gunnar specializes in the iconic Hammond organ, known for its warm, rich tone, and has performed across Scandinavia and beyond with groups such as the jazz trio Flat Bop. 

Steinar is an assistant professor at the University of Agder’s Institute for Popular Music, a composer, and a guitarist in the band SayWhat. In this duo, he brings acoustic steel-string guitar to the forefront, creating a unique synergy with Gunnar’s organ sound. 

Together, they deliver genre-blurring performances fueled by strong melodies, improvisation, and a passion for dynamic expression.
